I am pleased to report now that this project has been successfully completed and handed over to the client with all the relevant paper work and certifications.
We were contracted to build a small extension at the rear of the building. Work also included removing the old boiler and emersion system and installing a new Vaillant system boiler with Megaflo Emersion system, installing a solid fuel fire in the lounge, rewiring the kitchen and garden. The job also involved Internal renovations such as new engineered flooring throughout, hand-build new bespoke wardrobe in the master bedroom and a plant room/pantry in the new extension also most importantly paint throughout the house.
But as anyone knows when you renovate an old house there are always more to do than anticipated. So we did have to do some work beyond our initial contract, such as new floor cassette in the first floor, fit a new lavatory under the stairs, re-design of the rear garden with new lay out which included external Porcelain tiles and renovation 2 bathrooms.
Worth mentioning is the installation of the new 225mm clay pipe drainage under the new extension.
This project was supposed to run for 14-16 weeks and even with all the challenges faced with Covid19 which brought its own problems along with late deliveries of materials including the extra work we managed to complete it in 21 weeks.
